Law of Demeter
24th April 2009
The Law of Demeter sounds grand and perhaps a little difficult, but in fact it’s a very simple, basic principle of good programming style. It’s also a principle that all actionscript developers can apply, whatever their level of skill, to improve the quality and maintainability of their code. Bill Sanders describes it on his blog. Read it, then apply it.

Yeah, very true. For me, the major reason that it’s good to follow the law is for debugging purposes. Whenever a null exception is thrown it’s tough to figure out which function returned null.
